The Dispatch
What we shipped, why it matters, and what's next.
April 2026 — Edition 1
11 updates spanning catalog imports, invoicing deposits, merchant activation, device tracking and onboarding, POS enhancements, and internal analytics — across Web, POS, and devices.
Bulk Import Overhaul / Background Tasks UI
We've completely rethought how bulk product updates work — and built a new Background Tasks system so you always know exactly what's happening. The new import wizard auto-suggests mappings, validates data before processing, offers bulk correction with a preview when validation errors appear, and provides persistent tracking of every bulk operation. Together, these changes mean fewer support tickets and more confidence when making large-scale catalog changes.
AI Agent Skills for Commerce APIs
AI coding agents can now connect to the GoDaddy Commerce Platform APIs out of the box. A new skill file shipped with @godaddy/react teaches agents how to authenticate, query Orders, Catalog, Taxes, and Price Adjustments via GraphQL. This builds on the agent-first GoDaddy CLI (github.com/godaddy/cli) — together they enable agentic engineering workflows for building commerce experiences.
AI Quick Link Suggestions in Commerce Home Search
Search on the Commerce Home dashboard now uses AI to suggest quick links based on what merchants type — not just orders, transactions, and products. An A/B experiment showed a 126% increase in search success rate, more than doubling the percentage of merchants who find what they're looking for.
Device Order Tracking & Management
Improvements to hardware order tracking, accessories management, and device setup across Commerce Home. Merchants see newly placed orders sooner with clearer shipping and delivery states, can onboard POS devices and accessories more easily, and get better support guidance through a refreshed Troubleshoot/Get Help experience.

Invoicing Deposits & Milestone Payments
Merchants can now collect deposits upfront and structure milestone-based payments on one-time invoices. Great for service businesses — photographers, contractors, consultants — who need to secure partial payment before starting work. Previously, merchants had to send separate invoices or use off-platform workarounds, creating a disjointed experience for their customers.

Unified Settings & Landing Page
Unifying scattered settings across GoDaddy Commerce into a single, searchable settings hub that makes it easier for merchants to configure and manage their business. No more hunting across multiple screens to find the setting you need. Merchants and Care agents said finding the right setting felt like a scavenger hunt — this unified landing page brings every payment and commerce setting under one roof.
Merchant Activation Flow Improvements
A completely redesigned onboarding experience for Sales-Initiated merchants. Pre-populates business data from Salesforce so merchants can complete setup in minutes instead of hours — getting them to their first transaction faster. Previously, merchants had to re-enter information already captured during the sales process, leading to frustration, errors, and drop-off.
POS Accessory Setup Flow
A new guided setup flow for POS accessories — receipt printers, barcode scanners, and card readers. Merchants no longer need to navigate Bluetooth settings or guess which device to pair. Accessory setup was one of the top drivers of support calls, and this flow eliminates the guesswork with auto-detection, clear pairing steps, and built-in hardware verification.
POS Navigation & Customization Refresh
The POS app navigation and customization experience has been modernized — a cleaner nav bar, updated visual design, and a streamlined flow for customizing the checkout experience to match the merchant's brand. Since the POS app is where merchants spend most of their day, these quality-of-life improvements directly affect productivity and satisfaction.
POS Variants: Sort, Filter & Search
Merchants with large product catalogs can now sort, filter, and search through product variants directly on the POS during checkout. No more scrolling through dozens of options to find the right size, color, or style. Especially impactful for high-volume retail and quick-service environments where every second at checkout counts and mis-taps on the wrong variant lead to order errors.

Commerce Home Page Visit Metrics
A new internal dashboard that shows which Commerce Home pages get the most real customer traffic. See unique visitors, session counts, real vs. delegated (care agent) sessions, and web vs. mobile split — all from live production data. Replaces the previous approach of stitching together multiple analytics tools with days-old exports, enabling data-driven prioritization decisions in a single view.
